Some Years Back
I'm a little bit slower,
unique kind submission,
with fork over the mower.
12 years passed,
and all I could smell was cut grass
and gas.
practice preached
practice preached
learn the formula
practice preached
go find Lenny, he has a job for you.
Lenny, wants the salt of you.
Lenny, expects the tolerance of two.
Lenny, hesitates then the brutality ensues.
It's only ice and salt.
It's only weeds and curbs.
It's only aesthetic rodeo.
Lenny, hates the bronco.
Lenny, hates the bravo.
Lenny, hates & loves, like there is no tomorrow.
Fast forward 4 years and I am stoned wheat thin.
Rewind 5 months and I was beyond in sin.
No atonement.
No atonement.
Shame.
Retreat.
Recoil.
Repeat.

I have yet to get details for my air shift. I was asked to cover August on Sunday nights. When mid October came around I hear some rumblings of a new show lineup. This is still in the works and I got lost in their shuffle. I will be in to talk with the station on Friday and hopefully I will get an idea of what is what. I may be collaborating with their new show idea, but I haven't talked to anybody yet.

I have a solo show tomorrow night at Rocky's Bar if anyone is around and want to come out to the show, I'd be very excited to see you. This is my first acoustic show since Ann Arbor last April with Almus Magnus. I am looking forward to playing a venue known for it's acoustic compliments. I'm playing with Wonderbelly aka my friends Nate & Laddi.

Montana Boys will be releasing a limited edition EP called 'Travoltas' in December.
Track list:
17th Street
Oni Gosen
Trees
Honey

grrRoPoLis synonymous with MTB, will be mastering and pressing a full length 80 minute anthology, hopefully in time for New Years.

Montana Boys have sent in a registration for the annual South by Southwest(SXSW) music and film festival in Austin TX.

I have a couple copies of one of my first ever recordings called Elkhart by me & Nathan Napier. Nathan Napier is truly one the most amazing guitarists I've ever played with. I will have our collaborative album available at the Rocky's Show. Come see me.

Peace peeps.

Now go and be a good human.

My solo debut release. . .The Murray EP (pay whatever you want )
Dude, my first ever official release! The Murray!

http://www.indistr.com/petthewarrior

Album Info:
The Murray is a collection of songs culled from the Cedar Rock Basement Programs first sessions and a few in home sessions between Dustin Anderson and myself. Dustin Anderson recorded, mixed, and produced The Murray. The Murray features collaborations with extra soulful folkster supreme Claire Fisher, backing vocals from Lazy Genius frontman Christopher Stark, bass guitar from none other than The Soft Bulletin himself, and all around awesomeness by Dust A.C. Dust A.C.sung, arranged, played guitar, keys, drums, and duct tape on the EP. I wrote all the songs except Makin Me Sick, written by Dustin Anderson.

The Murray also includes 1 song from the Pet tHe Warrior Vault. A staple of the grrRoPoLis live show, Thinkin' In Drumtime(Jimmy Dean vers.) aka the Sausage version is the original recording/root/beginning of the most random song I've ever written.

And my English alter-ego comes out in the Dustin Anderson penned Makin Me Sick featuring vocals by Dust A.C., Claire Fisher, and me.

Peace peoples. Support the arts and the artists that create.

Love,
Michael aka Pet tHe Warrior

PS: If more rocking rock is your thing check out my band Montana Boys' debut release, Montana Boys.

8 mONTHS HAVE pAsT
Well, alas, I'm back. Writing to myself and to all with a new determination to live better and be more available to those that are in my life. Hello LJ homies! I am back and I will continue to drop in and delight one and all as to my whereabouts, upcoming shows, projects, thoughts on pop culture and random Michael. I've seen a great deal of you all outside of this network, to those I have been away from for a while, howdy! hope the burn is beautiful! I am currently working and making plans plans plans for my future. I am excited and elated to be getting active again. Taking walks is bad ass. My parents did it all the time and now I am getting into it. I'm also trying to organize all that is unorganized and important to me. This is a task and a half. Wish me luck.

How are all of you?

I have a show with Paleface & Bombadil @ Sazerac tomorrow night. It's 3 bucks at the door. Music starts at 9pm. Come out if you haven't anything to do. I would love to see you and talk or charade. Peace peoples.

Tonight, tonight, tonight!
I am playing a show tonight. It is at The Break Room (1359 Plainfield NE, in GR, MI)
This show is going to be stupid fresh. Christopher Stark (aka Pat Wieland) will open the shindig.
Following, Pat Wieland's porn alias, hailing from the tipsy shanty Ypsilanti is the musical stylings of one Almus Magnus. For fans of Neutral Milk Hotel, don't miss Almus Magnus! Don't miss him, them, it. And of course to finish the evening is the womp bam boom of Dust A.C. and me on guitars drums and tiny Casios. I will have 2 CD's on hand. The anthology of Dust A.C. produced trax are what will forever be known as Buck Fatty Blues. Buck Fatty Blues features a very sparse collection of recordings with the idea set in mind that minimalism is queen bee. With that ethic in mind we captured some spooky fun stuff. Some of which will be featured on the soon to be released Cedar Rock Basement Program. I will also have about 3 copies of Monday*Kind*Michael, which features the #1 hit song in Tunisia, Oni Gosen, as well as some horribly self indulgent attempts at chip-hop(cheesy white boy schlock hop, sounds better) Anyways, please come down if you have nothing to do. I promise a worthy evening of music. And hey, there is no cover. None. Just prove that you are 21, maybe buy a PBR or Manischevitz, sip, cock head back, soak in the musical sun rays. Repeat. If the Break Room has Manischevitz, I'm going to be pumped. Please come out and celebrate the release of my new shizzle and please bring a friend. Starts at 10pm, doors at 9pm.

10PM : Christopher Stark
11PM : Almus Magnus
12AM : Pet tHe Warrior & dust A.C. aka Dirty Versions

I have 2 newer songs posted. SSTTT (sabre sabre tooth tooth tiger) was produced by Dustin Anderson at Severed Studios)

CAC was produced by PTW via Ryan Eardley's laptop. It was improv. I was drunk and basically sick of the bullshit. Ready to make an idiot anthem. So keep this in mind when listening.

Peace everyone.

This man was once apart of Terry Knight & The Pack, "I(Who Have Nothing)".
Now he is not a part of the pack, rather he is a rooster.
Cockadoodledoo.
So much poop.

My head hurts.

Cats are cute.

Jan was a cop and he tried to frisk some boys at poetry last night.

I licked a sheet of acid tonight at work. Deirdre the hippie, made me do it. Then she offered me a toenail.

I am becoming more and more convinced that I cannot stomach meat in casings.

Brittish accents. So good. Especially, Gary Numan's.

Current Mood: grillin.
